Olivia Zimmerman

Olivia “Liv” Zimmerman (she/her), a Connecticut native, is a choreographer and entrepreneur recognized for her holistic leadership, intricate and emotionally driven choreography and her ability to foster authentic spaces.
Liv’s credits span across stage and screen, including Colgate-Palmolive, SunRise, Series Wide at The Joyce, MOVES, Choreographer’s Carnival, Sybarite, Capezio A.C.E. Awards, and General Electric. Most recently, she was featured in the New York Times, Dance Spirit Magazine, and several other notable platforms as a leading change-agent in the dance industry. She holds a BFA in Socially Engaged Art from Goddard College.
Zimmerman is the Founder and Executive Director of Embody Dance Conference, a non-profit dance convention working to create safer, more inclusive and more accessible dance spaces. Since its inception in 2020, Olivia has built Embody to be trusted in partnership with the world’s leading talent agencies, colleges, conservatories, intensives and programs and most importantly, created a new narrative for mass dance education.
She has taught and choreographed at well over one hundred dance studios across the country - her roots planted in dance education, she works to create a learning environment where dancers feel empowered to advocate for themselves, leave space for vulnerability and challenge the status quo.
